After the Rhinog crossing, Betws-y-Coed was reached in exhaustion and a rest day was chosen. Packs were left at accommodation, and the day became a decent all-day walk in the beautiful surrounding area. The following day continued into the high mountains of Snowdonia with full packs. By then, conditioning from the Rhinogs and the long rest-day walk made the steep slopes surprisingly manageable, and the mountain scenery was wonderful.
