Fragment of a Dolphin, Gagra

By foo.barstein

Gagra's Fragment of a Dolphin handles town buses and regional routes to Gudauta, Novy Afon, and Sukhum, which somehow makes its sculptural weirdness even better. This is not a decorative extra stuck onto a dead monument; it was built to work, and it kept working. The sea-animal motif is exactly the sort of Black Sea symbolism that Tsereteli pushed into these late-1960s shelters.
