Wave Bus Stop, Tsandripsh

By foo.barstein

Outside Gagra, near Tsandripsh, the Wave stop mimics the nearby Black Sea outright. It is one of the clearest examples of these Abkhaz shelters doing what Soviet bus stops rarely get credit for doing: reading the landscape and turning it into form. Casual, practical, slightly bonkers, and very easy to imagine at sunset with salt in the air.
