(I've Got a Gal in) Kalamazoo

By hello

Glenn Miller and His Orchestra took this Mack Gordon/Harry Warren song to No. 1 in 1942, with vocals by Tex Beneke, Marion Hutton, and the Modernaires. Featured in Orchestra Wives, it helped turn Kalamazoo into one of the most cheerfully name-dropped cities in big-band pop and earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song.
