lost waterways and buried channels

Taddle Creek

By hello

Taddle Creek was a Toronto stream that flowed from the Wychwood area through what is now the University of Toronto lands and south-east toward Lake Ontario. Urbanization gradually buried or channelled it into the sewer system, but the creek remained deeply influential in shaping ravines, crossings, and patterns of development. The old watercourse survives in fragments of landform, most notably through the campus ravine now known as Philosopher's Walk.
