By hello
A largely subterranean west London stream, Counter's Creek flowed south from the Kensal Green area to the Thames at Chelsea Creek. The line of the buried watercourse remained important long after the stream itself disappeared, influencing parish and borough boundaries. Its lower reach was adapted for the Kensington Canal, and later much of the corridor was taken over by railway infrastructure. Even where the stream has vanished from sight, the transport and boundary landscape still preserves its alignment.
