Inside Gibraltar's historic Landport Tunnel, this portrait mural places pop history inside a fortified gateway once built for defense and control. Gibraltar Cultural Services announced the work in 2022, noting that artist Michael Corr painted Lennon into one of the blocked doorways in the tunnel, beside another mural of Lord Nelson. The choice is locally specific: Lennon traveled to Gibraltar to marry Yoko Ono, so the image feels less like generic celebrity wall art than a small but pointed claim on the Rock's cultural memory.
