By hello
Built in 1910, Fonte River Dam was part of the first organized U.S. Navy effort to provide a reliable modern water supply to Hagåtña. The National Register nomination states that the dam is no longer in use but remains in place and in very good condition. (en.wikipedia.org) Famous person / engineer: civil engineer Leonard M. Cox identified the site and provided the original design. (upload.wikimedia.org) Why it remains: as an important early-20th-century public-works landmark in Guam's infrastructure history.
